PYC “ Youth Group” on Sunday's starting at 5:00 pm, ending at 6:30 pm (September through May)

Middler fellowship is a time for all of our middle school youth to come together and enjoy spending time with one another in a positive environment.  Our program each week rotates between Bible study, fellowship, recreation and service.  

Confirmation Class

During Middle School our youth will go through a Confirmation Process which  is held to teach youth what it means to be united with one another into the body of Christ and what being a Presbyterian is all about. This is the time when you will actually get to join the church.   Classes meet during the normal Sunday School Time each Sunday.  

Open Gym Wednesday's Afternoon and Evenings from 3:45 pm to 5:00 pm. 

This is primarily for Middlers.... but all Youth are Welcome!   

Retreats 

The Middle School Retreat is offered in the Fall of each year.  

Wednesday Connection on Wednesday's starting at 3:45 pm, ending at 7:00 pm  (September through March)

As apart of our church wide Wednesday connection program our middlers are picked up for school on Wednesday afternoon and return to the church for open gym, Bible study, and choir.  Their families join them for dinner in the Kirk.  

Sunday School on Sunday's starting at 9:45 am, ending at 10:30 am. (Year Round)

Each week our middle schoolers meet on the 3rd floor (“Heaven”) for class.  FPC is currently working under a three year preparation course for joining the church during this time.  After completion our 8th graders have the opportunity to become full fledged church members.    

Montreat Youth Conferences

All Youth will be given an opportunity to attend a Montreat Youth Conference Center in the summer.  They Middle School Youth meets at Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC.  

Scouting Program  

First Presbyterian Church is the sponsor for Boy Scout Troop 215 which is for boys entering the 6th through 12th grade.  To learn more about this program, please check out our Scouting Page and the Boy Scout Troop 215 Website.  

Summer Sizzle

We provide a variety of activities during the summer months for our middlers!  We have a special Vacation Bible School program for our middlers.  We also go on a mission trip and to the Presbyterian College Montreat Youth Conference Center each summer.  In addition to these week long activities, we offer lots of one shot events such as white water rafting, Carowinds, horse back riding, and more!  

Mission Trips 

All Youth will be given the opportunity to participate in a week long mission trip experience each summer.  These trips are designed to help others while glorifying God and his work around our Nation and the World.  

Special Events 

A variety of special trips and activities are scheduled throughout the year.  Each trip includes time for fellowship and mission work as well as some fun such as Ski Trips, Carowinds, etc.
