Music Ministry
“Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise
him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp
and lyre, Praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the
strings and flute, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with
resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”
As part of the Wednesday Gathering we have programs for
Children, Youth, and Adults

From Psalm 150, David certainly gave us instructions after which to
model our music program. The Music Ministry of First Presbyterian
provides numerous opportunities for people to serve, praise, and worship
God with and through music. A graded choir program for ages 3 – adults
is offered for singing and ringing. Special music by the Chancel Choir
with orchestra is offered at Christmas and Palm Sunday. The Children’s
Choir performs musical dramas alternating at Christmas and in the
spring. The youth choirs lead on Youth Sunday.

The music ministry is led by Margaret MacKay, Organist & Director of
Music and Anda Mobley, Music Assistant, along with many volunteers. It
is all the participants in the music program who provide worship
experiences for our members helping them to know God’s presence in
